Max is a California based writer/director, treatment designer and musician.
Shortly after graduating college and screening his senior thesis film at several international genre film festivals, he joined Biscuit Filmworks. There he interned with renowned director/owner Noam Murro and was hired as the Staff Production Assistant shortly thereafter.
At Biscuit, max began his journey as a visual researcher and designer, working under some of the best treatment creatives in the business. With the knowledge he gained from Biscuit and a highly developed eye for visuals, he went on to became the in-house treatment designer for Sanctuary Content. there he created hundreds of treatments for some of the biggest brands in world, from Google to Toyota to Budweiser.
as a freelancer, max continues to strive for excellence. always looking for ways of pushing the medium forward and winning jobs for his clients.
Max’s personal cinematic projects are primarily genre films (horror/thrillers/sci-fi), taking inspiration from the classic films of the 70’s and 80’s, but imbuing them with a love of richly drawn characters, haunting visuals, and incisive, often iconoclastic, social themes.
Naturally, he scores all of his films himself - a key aspect of his cinematic style.
